Return To Play

PCYS had received information from the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) on the items needing to be completed before coaches and players can start soccer practices.  WYSA is going to be emailing this information to all Classic and Select parents on Monday.  The information outlines what needs to be done during Phase I to help ensure the safety of everyone at PCYS.  We have just recently received the information and there are items to address for PCYS, coaches, players, and parents.  It will take some time to get everything organized.  For this reason, the PCYS Board members has decided to wait until July 6th to start any practices.

The PCYS board members would like the coaches and parents/players to have the opportunity to decide if they want to participate in practices.  This is completely optional.  If you feel uncomfortable having your child participate, it is fine for them to not participate.  We are planning on meeting with the coaches this week to discuss the requirements to get started.  I am sure they will reach out to the parents of the players to determine who would like to start practices in July.

WYSA is going to be responsible for telling all the clubs what Return to Play Phase is currently in place.  We are currently in Phase I.  I have included a listing of what all the phases are for Return to Play.  Additional information will be listed in the documents WYSA will be sending to you on Monday.  We are all hoping to get to Phase III soon, so we can have the PCYS teams participate in tournaments and scrimmages with other CWSL teams.  Please read the WYSA information and contact your coach if you have any questions.

Cancellation of Recreational Soccer

PCYS is sorry to communicate to everyone the decision to cancel all recreational soccer this summer and fall.  We know there are parents who would like to have their children play this summer, but it was going to be very difficult to provide a good soccer experience for the players while trying to keep social distancing in place.  PCYS's main concern is on the safety of the players.  PCYS will plan to resume recreational soccer in 2021.

Thank you
