Spring Soccer Update

Classic and State leagues are canceled for the spring 2020 season.

Classic and State teams will be contacted individually regarding the roll over of fees to the 2020-2021 season within the coming weeks. PCYS is asking for all registered members to roll the registration fees they already paid for the 2020 season over to 2021. The club is facing a lack of incoming revenue due to the cancellation of the season and tournaments but outgoing expenses in the way of field maintenance remain. Rolling over fees will assist in paying for the field maintenance this year.

Team will not be allowed to attend any tournaments in July. Coaches will have more information on this.

The Rec season has been postponed until further notice.

Practices are not allowed until at least July 1, 2020. This date remains tentative. The complex is closed until we communicate otherwise.

As of now, soccer camps being held at the PCYS field will proceed. Please check for updates on the individual camp website as this could change.

UNIFORMS:

  • All PCYS players are required to have a PCYS uniform. New players will need to purchase a uniform kit.
  • Although a new uniform kit was planned for spring 2021, current uniforms will be used until spring 2022.
  • This change was made to accommodate all players who were scheduled to play in spring 2020.

CANCELLED - 2020 STEVENS POINT CLASSIC - CANCELLED

It is with a great disappointment and sadness that I must announce  the 2020 Stevens Point Classic is officially canceled.

With the extension of the Safer at home order and phases of the Badger Bounce back plan from Governor Evers, WYSA (Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association) has instructed that all sanctioned tournaments in May and June are to be cancelled at this time.

If you have already submitted payment you will receive a refund. If you have any questions please let me know.

I truly hope that we get over this hurdle and are able to host you at a future date. We currently have a tournament scheduled for October 3rd and 4th, 2020 that is taking registrations. Due to the ever changing situation we are in, you may register for that tournament and hold off on paying the fees until notified that it will be allowed to be held.

I hope that you are all doing well, and are looking forward to watching, coaching and taking the pitch again soon.

Registration is postponed as we monitor the COVID-19 situation. We're hoping to open registration late May, if possible. If we are able to play, we would push the season back to July and August. Fingers crossed we can have a great season!

Registration

If you are considering  registering your team for the 2020 Stevens Point Classic please do so sooner then later. With 70+ teams already registered we may have to close our registration earlier then expected. If it is canceled due to  COVID-19 we will issue a full refund of your registration fee.  With several other tournaments already canceled in the state many clubs and teams are looking for other tournament options and if you wait to register we may not have room for your team.
